Amir Alam Hospital Complex is one of the oldest teaching hospitals in Tehran which was founded in 1325 by the late Dr.
Amir Alam for the purpose of creating maternity and midwifery training. The hospital, called the Naswan Hospital, was one of the subsidiary institutions of the nation and then the Ministry of Health until 1319.
In 1322, the ward and clinic of the women's hospital were moved to the present location of the women's hospital located on Enghelab Ave.
A few months later, in 1323, it was renamed the Amir Al Hospital Hospital, approved by the University Council and passed on to the precious health and cultural services of its founder.
When Dr. Amir Alam in 1294 AH. He reminded the Ministry of Education of the need to establish a nursing home at the suggestion of the Minister of Education at the time and with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers of one of the government buildings assigned to this task.
He was a resident of Europe and a resident of Tehran for the administration of the clinic and teaching, hired several people, this contract lasted for two years and then was renewed for another two years and he officially became a hospital physician and taught the students. The Ministry of Education also in 1295 AH.
He made a proposal to the government and called for the establishment of a maternity hospital, and the hospital was inaugurated in the same year as the festive assembly.
In 1297 AH. In accordance with Moharram 1337, the hospital was officially formed with seven beds and presided over by Dr.
Alireza Bahrami, and by 1305 he was in charge of the hospital. They set up there.
The hospital was one of the functions of the Ministry of Health that was transferred to the Faculty of Medicine this year and renamed the Women's Hospital, which was moved to the Women's Hospital three years later, replacing ophthalmology and otolaryngology. It was established. A few months later in 1323 AH. It was approved by the University Council during a ceremony in support of its cultural health service, called Amir Alam Hospital Complex.
